A Working Stiff's Manifesto

Just finished the book 'A Working Stiff's Manifesto', by Iain Levison. It was hilarious. This guy wrote a book about the many different jobs he has had. 'Over the last ten years, I've had fourty-two jobs in six states. I've quit thirty of them, been fired from nine, and as for the other three, the line was a little bit blurry. Sometimes it's hard to tell exactly what happened, you just know it wouldn't be right for you to show up anymore.'

Here is what he says about his crab fishing experience - 'After four days on the Killoran, I realize I have finally done it. I've found the worst fucking job in the world.'

Other choice quotes -
'Resume, the French term for "page full of bullshit,"'
'What does stuffing envelopes entail?'
'Another fact about interviewers is that most interviewers just want to hear themselves talk.'
"He points to a red button on the wall. 'That's the panic button.' 'Panic button?' 'Yeah. Try not to use it.'"
The book is about 161 pages, quick and entertaining and if you have ever had a dumb job or are planning to get one in the future, this is the book for you.
