Insurance hassle.

I went to the Dr to get a physical a couple of weeks back. The Dr's office sends in the paperwork and I get a letter from the insurance company, Anthem, telling me it wasn't covered. I called them up and was told that it was because the claim was coded as an "administrative physical" not a regular physical. An administrative physical is one you get in order to fulfill some other persons requirement. Like if you need on to get on the school baseball team. So I called the Dr's office and told them what the insurance company had said and they said they would resubmit the paperwork.
Im not sure why the Dr coded it that way since it was a regular physical. But he was telling me when I was in the office that 'Insurance companies have a liscence to steal.'
When I called Anthem up I was thinking, "You know, if they don't cover physicals, they don't cover shit."
Anyway, other than high-ish cholesteral, I am in pretty good health. I was getting worried about my blood pressure, but it was fine. I had my blood pressure checked when I gave blood last week and it was like 107/70 something I believe. Not high. Good.

Movie Review - Munich.

Thought it was pretty good. It got some flack from the right. They claim was that it equated the Israeli killers with the Palestinians or something. I didn't catch that. There was one scene I thought was pretty bad though. The main guy, Avner is having sex with his wife in Brooklyn and the scene is intercut with the Munich massacre scene. It was a pretty tasteless editing choice if you ask me. It made me laugh, which I don't think was the idea.
There was some Palestinian who was commenting on the film and he was complaining that it didn't show there side. So Spielberg gets dissed from both sides. That's a good sign.

New Years Resolutions

I am not really big on resolutions. In general, I think its best to take your chances and handle things on an as-needed basis. But, I have a couple for this year.
1. Buy fewer computer books.
2. Get out into the outdoors more.
I have a lot of computer books laying around that I have never read. Some of them are pretty antiquated at this point. Probably bought them thinking, 'thats interesting would be good to know'. But you can't know everything and reading these books isn't necessarily the best way to learn anyway.
As for number 2, I did one 14er last year. Did some foothills hiking a few times. That was cool. Would like to do more hiking, maybe go skiiing, maybe try something different this year.
