Fall is in the Air

This past weekend it was actually cold out. I went to the grocery store on Saturday, around 9 pm, wearing a flannel shirt. It was just enough. Many of the people in there were wearing jackets. You can see leaves turning yellow at work and around the neighborhood. Some of the leaves are starting to fall off the trees.
I am really digging it.

Football Season is here.

And not a minute too soon. Fuck summer. It's too hot. Too much sun - which messes with my sleep schedule. Too many stupid movies. Etc.
The past few days, when I walk out of the building in the morning on my way to work it's brisk/chilly out. It should be in the morning. Waking up and it's already too hot? No way man. What's the point in living in an area that gets snow? If I lived in Florida or something I'd expect it.
Football season implies - Football. Fewer games than baseball, more real challengers, John Madden. America's number one sport for good reason.

Mt. Holy Cross. Labor Day Weekend 2006.

Hiked up this last weekend. It was my one 14er of the year. Pretty difficult I thought. 12 miles round trip. The last 2000 feet or so were major rockpile/scree terrain. The weather was perfect. My knees were not up to it going down.
If I do another 14er next year, I'm going to do some hiking in the foothills and some jogging to see if I am in shape.
