What's Goin On.

Not too much. Let's see. I am reading The Making of a Chef, by Michael Ruhlman. I'm probably half way through. It's good. It's about the Culinary Institute of America which is kind of like Harvard for cooking schools in the U.S. Interesting stuff. I learned one thing - if you want to make a sandwich that doesn't get soggy, keep dry stuff, like cheese, against the bread and put the mayo somewhere in the middle. Interesting point cause sometimes I make sandwiches for lunch and if you put mayo and mustard on the bread it gets that way after a few hours.

Also reading Somebody Owes Me Money, a mystery by Donald Westlake. Maybe a 1/3 of the way into that. So far so good. In that a cabbie in NY, the narrator, is wrongly thought to have committed a murder against a mob guy bookie.

Right now it's Sunday night. It's drizzling. It was cloudy and cool but not cold, flannel shirt weather today. Very nice. Looking forward to the cooler season.

The mail in ballot should come in next week. Looking forward to get that out of the way.

At work I am finishing up an audit trail report. It's huge auditing about 100 tables. I am still working on how to make it look cool since it is made up of a list of tables and if you only want one, you're going to have to scroll past a lot of white space to get to what you want. It was suggested that I can have them overlap somewhat, not completely though, which should ameliorate but not solve the problem. Then I'll have to clean up the data on each table to get readable results back. Dang. One of the more tedious, unrewarding tasks I've had.
